SLEEVES WITHOUT THE HEAT

Maude keeps the top of the dress calm and saves the colour for the hem. The bodice crosses into a deep V, a wide gathered band marks the waist, and sheer sleeves run the full length of the arm to a slim printed cuff. From the waist the skirt falls in soft folds to the floor, with large blooms in blush and cream sweeping across the lower half.

The sleeves cover the whole arm, yet the fabric is sheer enough to stay light on a warm evening. The gathered band shapes the middle without a zip or boning, so a long dinner stays comfortable, and because the print sits low it draws the eye downwards while the top stays quiet.
